Editorial Internship

Description Ashville Media Group is seeking a bright and talented editorial assistant to join us on a six to nine-month work placement. The intern will gain practical experience in every aspect of producing two of our successful business titles, as well as working across many of Ashville Media Group’s other publications. That will include: pitching ideas, planning content, liaising with other departments and stakeholders, updating websites and creating an online presence for the business titles. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: writing, interviewing, editing, proofreading, preparing files for print. On completion the intern will have attained skills in editorial and have been involved in producing successful business magazines from start to finish.

Skills Requirements Keen writing skills, a sharp eye for proofreading and an enthusiasm for publishing.

Please Note This is an internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current social welfare payment. See eligibility criteria here.

Education Requirements Third Level – would suit a graduate in journalism, media or a related field with an interest in all things business. Experience with WordPress as well as social media is a plus. Previous experience in publishing is not required.
